Valerie Johnson provides Virtual Assistant services such as
administrative and clerical support to small and medium business’. Valerie has 25+ years of extensive hands-on
experience in office administration and 8+ years providing technical support
and computer training. She has expert
level knowledge of all Micosoft Office applications and many other computer
applications.
After completing a Community College education in
commerce and secretarial studies, Valerie worked in numerous administrative
roles in England before coming to Canada in 1980. She then worked for a number of years at
the University of Toronto before moving into the Corporate world to work in
the Design and Communications Department at Olympia & York in 1988. In the capacity of Administrative Assistant
to the Vice President Design & Communication Valerie increase her
knowledge of graphics, database design and maintenance and gained familiarity
of a Macintosh computer environment.
In 1992 Valerie joined the Corporate Psychology firm
of Wilson Banwell where she became familiar with computer networking,
technical support and application training in addition to her administrative
work as Executive Assistant to the Director, Ontario. This technical and database knowledge
helped her to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm of Pratzer and Partners, an
Executive Search firm, whom she joined in 1996 in the capacity of Research
Associate. This role greatly increased
her knowledge of internet research and enhanced her customer service skills.
This extensive training and learning ensures that
Valerie can offer her clients a wealth of solutions to help them run their
business’ more cost effectively and efficiently.
Valerie is President and Co-Owner of Mercury
Information Services Inc. and has a BA from the University of Toronto.
